I have decided to start creating “Blog Tutorials” which I will release occasionally. They will be filled with helpful tips for the average blogger such as myself!
This post is about How To Increase Traffic to Your Blog! I have compiled some different (free) ideas to help increase traffic to your blog! The research that I conducted provided me with some great new ideas so I hope I can help you too! Many of the ideas included here also contain links to more informational articles if you wish to learn more!

WRITE WELL AND OFTEN: This is a tip that every source I found shared in common. Writing high-quality material and posting as often as you can is crucial to success even if it takes a little more effort. It will make viewers return for more, and increase the chance that your content will be recognized by search engines.

SEO: Google and other popular search engines are a great way to get traffic! SEO (search engine optimization) is key for those looking for more viewers. SEO is complex and rather hard to explain so I’ve linked an entire article about it (by the way it is extremely long): HERE
GOOGLE: A fast and simple way is to submit your blog URL to Google, Yahoo, or MSN’s Live Search. This won’t guarantee that you will now be on the front page results, but hopefully your site will now be added somewhere into the mix. Here are the different links to submit your blog’s URL: Bing, Google, Yahoo!
PROMOTION: Promote your site to others!
- Social media like Facebook or Twitter!
- Tell your friends! If they like it, they will spread the message!
- If you are really bold, nominate your blog for blog awards. There are several throughout the year!
SIMPLE THINGS: Simple things such as commenting, tagging, and adding links, is an easy way to gain some more viewers!
SUBMIT YOUR POSTS: You can also submit your best/favorite posts to places like Digg and StumbleUpon or Reddit to gain more viewers.
WORDPRESS: Lastly, WordPress itself has their own article with some helpful tips. It can be found HERE
I hope these 8 tips were helpful! Keep in mind that this is the first of my (hopefully) many “Blog Tutorials” that I wish to release down the road! Also I am currently working on some new posts. While majority of my posts have been about the internet, I hope to be expanding a little more!
